Privacy Policy

Effective October 7, 2026

Who we are

This website, www.bpoapac.com, is operated by the Burbank Police Officers' Association PAC ("the PAC," "we," "us"). The PAC is an independent expenditure committee active in City of Burbank, California elections. This policy explains what information we collect through this website and our email and text message programs, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

Information you give us

When you submit our contact form, we collect:

When you email us or reply to a text message, we receive the contents of that message and your email address or phone number.

Information collected automatically

Our website host, Netlify, records standard server information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you request, and the time of the request. Netlify also records the IP address and browser information sent with a form submission to help filter spam. We do not use analytics, advertising pixels, or tracking cookies on this website.

How we use information

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these cases:

This website does not accept political contributions. If you contribute to the PAC through another channel, California's Political Reform Act requires us to report contributors of $100 or more, including name, address, occupation, and employer, in campaign statements that are available to the public.

Mobile information

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties.

The only exception is the messaging service provider that delivers our texts, which processes your number solely to send messages on our behalf.

Cookies and tracking

This website does not set cookies. It loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser sends your IP address to Google when the fonts load. Google's handling of that data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" setting. Because we do not track visitors across websites, our practices are the same whether or not that setting is turned on.

Your choices

Retention and security

We keep contact form submissions and consent records for as long as needed to communicate with you and to meet our legal and recordkeeping obligations. We use reputable service providers that encrypt data in transit, and we limit access to the people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post any changes on this page and update the effective date above.

SMS Terms

These terms apply to the Burbank Police Officers' Association PAC text message program.
